Tax and Water Billing

Town of Truro Tax and Water bill payments must be received by the Town Office by the due date to avoid applicable interest charges. If you are paying by mail or through your bank, please allow enough time for your payment to reach the Town Office by the due date. Interest will not be adjusted if payment is 'in the mail' and received after the due date.

Interim tax bills for approximately half the year's taxes will be mailed in April, due about the first of July. The final bill for the year will be billed in July, due about the first of November.

The tax exemption for low income families has been increased to $150, for the owner of any property who resides at the property, whose annual family income of all family members residing at the property is $19,000 or less.

We encourage you to pay your taxes by the due dates to avoid our collection procedures. Our payment options include cash, cheque, debit, post-dated cheques,telephone/internet banking at your bank, pay at your bank.
