Description

Application by Meech Holdings Limited to amend a 2012 development agreement affecting lands off Upham Drive by changing the approved site plan, proposed street layout, and altering the number, type and configuration of the dwelling units.

Application Status:

Revised and updated application to be reviewed by Planning Advisory Committee at their regular monthly meeting on June 26th, 2017.

 

2) 118 Lyman Street, Brentwood Developments Limited

Description

Revised Development Agreement application to permit a multiple unit residential development consisting of two scenarios:

1. Two 36-unit three storey buildings

2. Six, two or three storey, 10 unit, townhouse style buildings

Application Status:

Application pending.

 

3) Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw Amendment to Establish the Neighbourhood Institutional (P4) Zone

Description

Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law Amendments to establish the Neighbourhood Institutional (P4) Zone and apply it to several institutional uses located in established residential neighbourhoods.

 Application Status:

At their regular monthly meeting scheduled for June 26th, 2017, the Planning Advisory Committee will review the proposed amendments, consider feedback from the May 8th public information meeting, and review new information and amendment options provided by Staff at the Committee’s request.

 

4) 199 Willow Street, Meech Holdings Limited

Description

Application by Meech Holdings Limited to amend a 2016 development agreement in place for lands at 199 Willow Street and thereby permit the addition on one new 6-unit residential building.

Application Status:

Preliminary proposal and application to be reviewed by Planning Advisory Committee at their regular monthly meeting on June 26th, 2017.

 

5) Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw Amendment to Review Commercial Use Provisions in Downtown Residential Zones

Description

Proposals for non-residential development utilizing large heritage homes in downtown Truro are currently not permitted by existing zoning regulations. Indications are that there may be an issue with the current regulations that warrants a review and possibly amendments.

Application Status:

Planning Advisory Committee will review and make recommendation at their regular monthly meeting on June 26th, 2017.

 

6) 140 Dominion Street, Strategic Atlantic Limited

Description

Development Agreement Application to permit a multiple unit residential development consisting of ten townhouse style dwellings.

Application Status:

Revised proposal and application to be reviewed by Planning Advisory Committee at their regular monthly meeting in August, tentatively scheduled for August 28th, 2017.
