The Town of Truro is welcoming everyone to take part in this year’s summer events happening around town!
With so much to see and do in Truro, we will be starting the summer off with the popular Sunday in the Park Concert Series. Bob & CJ Prest will be returning to Victoria Park on Sunday, June 18th at 2:00PM for the first one of the summer. The concerts run every Sunday at 2:00PM in Victoria Park.
Along with these concerts, the Riverfront Park Concert Series returns July 7th with opening performers, She & I: Craig and Mandy. The concerts run every Friday night from 7:00 – 8:00PM at the Riverfront Park on Bayview Street.
Join us for a big July 1st Canada Day celebration happening in Victoria Park from 11:30AM – 4:00PM! We will have live music, bouncy houses, face painting, and a BBQ (in support of the Truro Legion Branch 26 Colchester). From 7:00-9:00PM, join us at the Civic Square in Downtown Truro for a great concert, headlining Ria Mae. Of course, you can’t miss the fireworks at 10:00PM at the Colchester Legion Stadium. Please come enjoy this year’s 150th celebration with your family, friends, and the community!
Later this summer, we will be showcasing some Canadian movies for our Mid-Summer Movie Nights. We are starting with the Breakfast Club on July 21st at the Truro Farmer’s Market, followed by Canadian Bacon on July 28th at Victoria Park. All movies begin at 9:00PM.
One of our favorite events is coming back for its 8th year! The VP Challenge will again be happening in Victoria Park. Participants will be tested on their strength, stamina and agility as they navigate a scenic route through beautiful Victoria Park. Join us at this unforgettable race on July 15th. Along with the VP Challenge, we will be celebrating Canada’s Parks Day. Stick around from 11:00AM to 1:00PM for some live music, children’s activities and much more!
ShredFest is back! On August 12th from 6:00 – 9:00PM, one of the biggest attractions from last year is coming back to Inglis Place. This street party involves a variety of fun and entertaining performances, ranging from skate and bike demos, fire performers, and a DJ. Make sure to stop by Inglis Place and enjoy this amazing family fun evening.
The Wild Blueberry Festival Kick Off is moving to the Civic Square this year. There will be a concert, vendors, food, crafts and lots of blueberries! Come check out this festival on August 18th.
