Mission Statement

The Truro Police Service is responsible for maintaining peace, order and public security, for preventing crime and disorder, for apprehending offenders, and bringing them to justice.

The Truro Police Service will form a partnership with the community to address the fears and concerns of the community, with respect to crime and disorder; and in the partnership, have a vision for the future.

As Chief of the Truro Police Service it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. The Truro Police Service has been serving the citizens of central Nova Scotia since 1875. Our police service is dedicated to a safe community and we take great pride in our community involvement and partnerships.  We enjoy great support from our Police Board, municipal Council, and the public.  I hope you find our website informative and we welcome your feedback on any of our programs and initiatives.
