Monday - Friday:
12-1:00: Lane Swim
1-4:30: Public Swim
5-6:00: Lane Swim
6-7:30: Public Swim

Saturday, Sunday:
1-4:30: Public Swim
6-8: Public Swim

 

 

Victoria Park Day Camp Programs

The Town of Truro, Parks and Recreation Department has been busy preparing four exciting summer camp opportunities for youth 5-15 years of age in our region.

Youth Program

For ages 8 - 12 (1week) Campers will spend the majority of their time in beautiful Victoria Park and the program will focus on the promotion of physically active/ healthy lifestyles. The week will be broken up into a number of Interest Groups, Skills Training Activities, and Large Group Activities. There will be plenty of trips to the pool and a mid week ,bussed day trip.

Kinder Program

For ages 5-8 (1week) The Kinder Camp program will be a very active week, giving children the opportunity to interact with other youth of the same age, doing a variety of group activities, games and crafts, while exploring all the fun and adventure beautiful Victoria Park has to offer including the pool and spray park.

Leader In Training (LIT) Program

For ages 13-15 (2weeks) The first week will concentrate on the development of skills necessary to supervise youth in a day camp/leadership environment. These skills will include Leadership and Team building, Red Cross First Aid, Program Development, and Safety Supervision. The second week LIT's will be placed in a leadership position with the youth or kinder camp giving them an opportunity to gain practical leadership/supervisory experience with different age groups.

Victoria Park Canteen

The Victoria Park Canteen will be open for business from 11am - 5pm, weather permitting, seven days a week starting early June throughout September 1st, 2009. We have lots of great items on our menu including Soft Serve Ice Cream, and we're looking forward to serving you throughout the summer!
