All garbage and recycling collection for the Town of Truro is processed through Colchester Resource Waste Management. Colchester Waste Resource Management is responsible for processing recyclables, organics, and garbage generated within Truro and Colchester County, at the Colchester Waste Management Park, located at 185 Mingo Road in Kemptown (Exit 18 off Highway 104).

Bulk Item Collection
Spring and Fall clean-ups have now been replaced with bulk item collection. During your regular "garbage" collection day, 2 bulk items can be placed curbside. Items can be placed curbside on the evening before garbage collection day. Please note, bulk item collection does not occur on the recycling collection week.

Leaf Collection Program
Please be advised that starting November 1, 2023, leaf collection will be the same day as your garbage/compost pick-up. Residents can place leaves in their green cart or up to 3 bags curbside in paper leaf and yard waste bags.
